Preschool – 3 years to 5 years

For West Pennant Hills & Pennant Hills

Our junior (Investigators) and senior (Navigators) Preschool Curriculum uses the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia as its foundation.

Adventures’ in-house preschool program has been designed to prepare children for the transition to school both socially and academically. In particular, the Navigator’s daily routines are more structured and our teachers help children to learn in larger group settings.

Experienced University qualified teachers, our knowledge of the school curriculum and networking with local schools ensure we stay informed of the emerging expectations of children once they start formal schooling.

Our curriculum is delivered in a play based (age appropriate) format to maximise children’s engagement, provide opportunities for children to experience success, help children to develop a love of learning and ultimately transition effectively to school while still enjoying being a young child.

Our Preschool Curriculum includes:

  • Pre-Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
  • Fine Motor
  • Gross Motor and Physical Activity
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Awareness and Involvement
  • Protective Behaviours
  • Social and Emotional Development
  • Inclusive Programming
  • Cultural and Community Awareness and Involvement
  • Understanding Big School (environment, self-help skills, new routines, expectations)

Please ask to see our Preschool Programs, Reflections and related materials when you come for a tour.
